| Welcome to my web site Five years ago you elected me to serve you on the Lakeway City Council. Two years later you showed your approval of my service by reelecting me. I come to you now to ask for your vote as I seek the office of Mayor. GERRY ASTORINO PLEDGES: To continue to be a good listener, to seek input and opinions from all citizens, to value every citizen’s ideas, and to champion every citizen’s right to hold and to voice opinions in an environment that nurtures respect and civil discourse. To work hard and devote the full amount of time needed to ensure that the city’s business is being properly managed. ASTORINO: THE CLEAR CHOICE My wife Joan and I moved to Lakeway in 1994 because we thought it was a great place to live. We immediately became active in the Lakeway community as volunteers and working in other ways to preserve the wonderful community that we found here. Our commitment to keeping Lakeway a livable and vibrant community is stronger today than ever. Before you vote in the May 3 election, please compare the two candidates by answering the following questions: Which of the two candidates has a proven record of service to the people of Lakeway, including four years on the city council, service as Mayor Pro-Tem, and service on the Zoning and Planning Commission? Which one has been more active as a civic volunteer, working for years to make Lakeway a better place in which to live? Which one is independent, dedicated only to serving all the people of Lakeway, and not aligned with any one-issue organization or slate? Which one can discuss all the issues in depth, with knowledge based on experience and gained by listening to Lakeway citizens over the years? Which candidate is the clear choice, based on experience, qualifications, proven record of service, and dedication to listen to and serve all the citizens?
